Overview

T-Minus is a space launch tracking app built by TARS Technologies LLC. It helps you follow upcoming and past rocket launches, missions, and space events. This page explains what information T-Minus collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. By using T-Minus, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

Data We Collect

T-Minus uses Firebase, a service provided by Google, for account sign-in and analytics. Depending on how you use the app, this may include:

• Account information if you sign in, such as your email address and a unique account identifier
• Usage and analytics data, such as app interactions, screens viewed, device type, operating system version, language, and approximate location derived from IP address
• Crash and diagnostic data used to identify and fix bugs
• In-app preferences you set, such as favorited launches, notification settings, and your mission patch collection

We do not collect payment or financial information directly — subscriptions and in-app purchases are handled entirely by Apple, as described below.

How We Use Data

We use the information above to:

• Sign you in and keep your preferences and collected mission patches associated with your account
• Understand how the app is used so we can fix bugs and improve features
• Deliver notifications you have opted into, such as launch reminders
• Provide launch, mission, and space-related content inside the app

Third-Party Services

T-Minus relies on the following third parties:

• Firebase (Google): Used for authentication (sign-in) and analytics. Firebase may collect device identifiers, usage data, and diagnostic information as described in Google's Privacy Policy and Firebase's Privacy and Security page.
• The Space Devs (Launch Library): T-Minus fetches launch schedules, mission details, and related space data from The Space Devs' Launch Library API. This request does not include any of your personal or account information — it is used only to retrieve public launch information for display in the app. See The Space Devs' Privacy Policy for details.
• Apple: Push notifications, widgets, and Apple Watch connectivity are provided through Apple's frameworks and are governed by Apple's own privacy practices.

These third parties only receive the information necessary to provide their service to us and are not permitted to use it for their own unrelated purposes.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your data with third parties except as described in this policy (Firebase and The Space Devs), or if required to comply with applicable law.

Data Retention

Account and preference data is retained for as long as you keep your account. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. Analytics data collected through Firebase is retained according to Google's Firebase Analytics data retention settings.

Security

We use commercially reasonable measures, including those provided by Firebase and Apple, to protect your information. Payments, subscriptions, and in-app purchases are processed entirely by Apple — we do not have access to your payment information. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Choices & Rights

You can:

• Sign out or delete your account at any time
• Disable notifications in iOS Settings
• Request access to or deletion of your personal data by contacting us
• Limit analytics collection by adjusting your device's tracking and privacy permissions

Children's Privacy

T-Minus is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

International Transfers

Firebase and our other service providers may process and store data on servers located in the United States and other countries. By using T-Minus, you consent to this transfer of information.

App Tracking Transparency

T-Minus does not use advertising and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites for advertising purposes.

Push Notifications

T-Minus can send you notifications about upcoming launches, mission updates, and related events if you enable them. You can turn notifications on or off at any time in iOS Settings.

In-App Purchases & Subscriptions

T-Minus offers optional Premium subscriptions (monthly or yearly) and other in-app purchases. These are billed and managed entirely through Apple's App Store. We do not have access to your payment details; purchases can be managed or cancelled from your Apple ID account settings.
